If Miami Ave. is not a stop you usually make when you are looking to curb those hunger pains, you are definitely missing out on some of the better restaurants in Venice! If a home cooked meal, prepared with only the freshest of ingredients sounds good to you, then look no further than Burgundy Square Cafe located at 227 W. Miami Ave.
Owner Chuck Cyr opened Burgundy Square Cafe in September 2011 and has been serving up delicious meals to the Venice locals and visitors ever since. His business success is a reflection of his passion for food, his dedication to quality and reliable customer service. Chuck is no stranger to the food business; he opened his first restaurant at age 24 in Ogunquit Beach, Maine. Chuck then opened a couple more restaurants along the way bringing him to what he now calls his "last stop," here in Downtown Venice, where he plans to retire. Great news for his patrons who feel like Burgundy Square Cafe is their home away from home for a home cooked meal.
Burgundy Square Cafe is open 7 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 am -9:00 pm and Monday 7:30 am - 2:30 pm. Their breakfast specialties are over-sized omelettes and a variety of eggs benedict. In 2012, Burgundy Square Cafe won the Venice Gondolier Sun Reader's Choice Award for Best Breakfast! For lunch, the meatloaf sandwich is always a favorite along with the plentiful proportioned fresh salads on the menu. Popular dinner selections are the New England style fare like lobster rolls, fried clams and haddock. For the outdoor lover, Burgundy Square Cafe also offers an outside covered courtyard dining area. They serve wine and beer with 8 different IPA's on draft.
