Community invited to library's anniversary kickoff celebration
Members of the Sarasota County Commission are joining Friends of the Jacaranda Public Library and library staff in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Library.
The yearlong celebration kicks off with a reception Friday, Jan. 24, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., which includes guest speakers starting at 6 p.m. The celebration continues Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with activities for the entire family. All the festivities will be held at Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Library, 4143 Woodmere Park Blvd., Venice. Each event is free and open to the public.
