Christmas in July 2015The downtown merchants are celebrating "Christmas in July" on Friday and Saturday with lots of sales, prizes and specials! Free Trolley Rides, Merchants on Miami are having a tropical Christmas, merchants in the KMI are serving cookies and punch. Santa and Mrs. Claus will on hand for a mid year check in and you'll want to register to win one of 6 gift baskets totaling more than $1000 filled with awesome goodies from participating downtown merchants, activities take place both days from 10a - 5p.

Saturday Morning kicks off with a fabulous selection of vendors - local Farmers, Fisherman, Craftsmen, Bakers, Artists and others gather at the Venice Farmer's Market located in the heart of historic downtown Venice, Florida. It's a weekly celebration of the best of Venice and during this time of year, they are open from 8am - 1pm.

Venice Art Center Family FunBring the whole family down to the Venice Art Center - it's Free Family Fun! Arts and Crafts, face painting, food drinks and musical instruments provided by Rhythm Inlet for the kids to try. All activities at the Venice Art Center take place from 10am - 1pm.

 

 

Venice Florida 4th of July CelebrationSince 2002, the Sertoma Club of Venice, the City of Venice, and area residents have partnered together to host the beautiful fireworks show at the Venice Jetties and this year is no exception. The Sertoma Club of Venice is seeking donations to raise a total of $10,000 to contribute towards the City of Venice’s Fourth of July fireworks display and they are asking for your help. You can donate in a couple of different ways. Various group members will be set up at Venice Publix locations and you can drop your donation off with them. The second way you can donate is to go to GulfCostGives.org and donate on-line. Let's see how we can help them get to their goal and continue this hometown tradition again in 2015.

Venice Brew Bash IV logoThis year the Venice Brew Bash, is adding a Homebrew Competition for the first time. So if your hobby produces an awesome brew here is your opportunity to get it judged by the American Homebrew Association.

Homebrew competitions are open to all homebrewers, who brew their entries on their home equipment. Beers brewed at commercial facilities on commercial equipment or brew-on premise locations are not allowed.
Entrants are limited to home brewer’s club membership or Florida residents. It's important to know Beers only!. Deadline for completed entries is May 15, so if you want to take a chance check out their rules and regulations by visiting BrewBash.com

The Venice Brew Bash IV takes place on Saturday, May 23 from 4pm - 8pm. Sample over 60 different craft and imported beers, tickets now on sale for $35 in advance or $45 day of. Get your dog ready for summer’s fun activities by completing a training course with him! 

Suncoast Humane Society is hosting canine training courses at the South Venice Civic Association building. The classes will be on Thursday evenings starting April 2 and ending May 7, 2015. Pre-registration is required, along with proof of rabies and other required shots.
