Higel Park is primarily used for boat access. The boat ramp consists of one double ramp with docks. There is a scenic picnic spot overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Higel is a launch point for the Dona Bay/Roberts Bay Paddling Trails.
Several activities are available to the public within the park's 271-acres including archery, hiking, camping (youth only) and the shooting sports. The camp site sits under a canopy of large oak trees & a great place to hold reunions, picnics, etc.
This neighborhood park features boat launch, thich provides water access to Dona & Roberts Bays & the Gulf of Mexico via Shakett Creek. Trailer parking is provided across the street from the ramp. There are no restrooms.
This park offers beautiful sunset views of the Gulf. A reservable, large pavilion, is often used for special events, weddings & private parties. It also has a playground, small picnic shelters & ample parking.
Nokomis Beach is Sarasota County's oldest beach. This is a family oriented beach & is popular for fishing & picnicking. A system of walkovers provides spots dune system & its resident gopher tortoises.
North Jetty offers visitors the opportunity to watch the boats pass through the channel from the Intracoastal Waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. This park is also a popular fishing spot. The concession offers a variety of food to enjoy at the beach.
